Exterior Facade Restoration Remedies Leaky Library

MIA provided architectural services to Northern Illinois University for all phases of this exterior restoration. Scope of work included investigation into the source of water infiltration, determination of the extent of masonry deterioration and design of repair.

Swen Parson Hall houses the Law Library for the University. Designed in the Collegiate Gothic style and constructed in 1949-52, the building is comprised of a concrete structural frame with composite masonry exterior walls. The building is National Register eligible.
