| Intensive Residential Survey Orland Park, Illinois McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. completed a survey of approximately 185 properties within a targeted residential area of Orland Park, Illinois. Work included intensive survey, assessment, and research for contextual history. Project included the evaluation of the properties for Landmark status; research on the developmental history, local architecture and significant styles within the study area; and comprehensive summary and report for all of the buildings within the survey area. Design Guidelines for rehabilitation within the existing historic district were developed for the Village of Orland Park in 2005. Orland Park was first platted in 1880 after the arrival of the Wabash, St. Louis & Pacific Railroad; the town was incoprorated in 1892. The town provided services for the local farming community including a rail outlet for transporting goods to market. The historic character and architectural heritage of the Old Orland area has been retained. |
