Conditions Assessment Report

McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. provided architectural services for the conditions assessment and evaluation of reuse options for the site. Services included cost estimating for a phased restoration budget.

Work included archival research and on-site conditions investigation. The Conditions Assessment Report includes a brief construction history including alterations, documentation of existing conditions, recommendations for phased restoration and an evaluation of the feasibility of reuse. Project included structural, MEP and underwater assessment performed by engineering consultants.

This 1893 lighthouse was reconstructed at its present location in 1917-18 with adjoining base buildings. The Chicago Harbor Lighthouse is a Chicago Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
