Life Safety Upgrades
McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. is providing Architectural/Engineering services for life safety upgrades and new elevator for the University's Main Library.
Work included assessment, design and construction documents for Life Safety upgrades including emergency lighting, exit signage, fire alarm tie ins, accessibility, reworking egress paths, additional exiting, panic hardware, new emergency generator and new elevator to bring this 350,000 square foot building into code compliance.
The Main Library was designed by Walter Netsch of Skidmore Owings and Merrill; completed in 1969 it includes computer rooms, student lounges, and staff support rooms along with the library and library support spaces.
