Exterior Restorationn
McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. completed the comprehensive repair of the building envelope in accordance with the Standards and Requirements of the Chicago Public Schools.
Project included brick and limestone restoration, paint stripping, masonry cleaning, and limestone repair. Non-original windows were replaced with double-hung, insulated glass units with simulated divided lights to restore the appearance of 6/6 windows.
The Otis Elementary School building was constructed in multiple phases; the original building dates from 1879 with additions in 1893 and 1907.
