Henry Administration Building University of Illinois

Champaign, Illinois

Interior Remodeling

McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. is the architect for the interior remodeling of the Office of University Student Financial Services and Cashier Operations.

The project includes 4,300 square feet of new offices for the department with updated accessibility, architectural finishes, code compliance and mechanical systems. All alterations have been designed to be sympathetic to the historic character of the building. Historic corridors and vestibules are being restored.

Designed by W.C. Zimmerman and constructed in 1911, the building was originally named the Commerce Building. A major addition, the Administration Building, was designed by James B. Dibelka and constructed in 1914. When the College of Commerce vacated the building, administration offices expanded into the available space. In 1987 the building was renamed the David Dodds Henry Administration Building.
