| Legacy at Millennium Park, Chicago, Illinois McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. consulted to Solomon Cordwell Buenz & Associates for the restoration of four historic commercial façades in downtown Chicago. These façades of stone, pressed brick, enameled brick, terra cotta and metal are located in the National Register Loop Retail Historic District and the local Jewelers Row Landmark District. The scope of work included research on the original design of the façades, survey of existing conditions and design of the restoration. The program included reconstruction of missing historic elements including storefronts, cornices and windows. Constructed between 1872 and 1903, these façades represent the typical historic appearance of Wabash Avenue. Three of the four façades were designed by known architects: Frederick Baumann, J. Crozen, and Holabird & Roche. |
