Complete Building Rehabilitation for Accessible Scattered Site Housing

McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc. was responsible for the rehabilitation of this 10-unit apartment building for Housing Options for the Mentally Ill in Evanston, a nonprofit organization that provides affordable supportive housing and mental health support to adults. The 1960s era 10-unit building was renovated to 9 apartments and a shared communal space.  Three apartments and communal space are fully accessible. Designed in compliance with the Illinois Housing Development Act and new energy codes, the complete rehabilitation included all new interior units and systems, masonry repair, new roof, and windows. The project was funded by the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
