The Junior League of Chicago Historic Structures Report
Preservation in Chicago’s Gold Coast

The Georgian Revival Style house designed by Pond & Pond in 1908 for All-American Football player Wallace C. Winters is located in Chicago’s Astor Street Historic District. Today, the residence serves as the Headquarters for the Junior League of Chicago. MIA prepared an Historic Structures Report to form the basis for long‐range planning, master planning for capital and maintenance expenditures, and restoration projects. The project included an assessment of the building and its MEP systems, life safety review, and creation of a database to facilitate implementation of a cyclical maintenance program.
